We’re delighted to announce ScottishPower Smart Metering is our first major bill payment contract win for both the Payzone bill payment and Post Office networks.
The three-year contract means all ScottishPower pre-payment (known as PAYGO) customers who choose to pay over the counter will only be able to top up their smart meters in a Payzone bill payment outlet or a Post Office.
It’s due to roll out later in the summer.
We’re really excited about this win. This is exactly why Post Office bought Payzone Bill Payments Limited and proves it was the right move to win more business in this important market.
It’s brilliant news for Payzone retailers and for Post Office branches alike, bringing extra footfall through the door.
The Government aims to roll out electricity and gas smart meters to every home in the UK.
ScottishPower plans to move all its PAYGO customers across the UK to smart meters and will start rolling them out soon. Once a customer has a smart meter, they’ll be able to top it up at a Payzone outlet or Post Office as well as on the ScottishPower app.
Customers paying ScottishPower bills over the counter can already do this in a Post Office, and we’re working with ScottishPower to extend this service to all Payzone bill payment outlets too.
