Payzone secures another contract!

Payzone has signed a long-term contract with National Express Coach to provide coach ticketing services to customers of Payzone’s stores across the UK.

Alongside a significant commission structure, Payzone retailers will benefit from the uptick in footfall and basket spend as new and existing customers come in-store to purchase coach tickets. National Express is the largest operator of scheduled coach services in the UK, providing over 21m journeys in 2019. As lockdown restrictions continue to ease, Payzone retailers are well placed to capitalise on the expected growing demand for travel ticketing services.

Customers who want to purchase a ticket using cash will be able to do so at selected Payzone stores, providing an important lifeline to those customers who would like to.

The contract award marks another milestone, following the success of tie-ups with British Gas, ScottishPower Smart Metering and Jersey Electricity.

Simon Lambert, Commercial Director for Payzone Bill Payments Limited, said:

The National Express brand is well known across the UK, so we are thrilled to be partnering with them and expanding their offer into the Payzone estate. This partnership will now see a UK wide service operating through our Payzone network. National Express will complement our existing transport ticketing portfolio and will support footfall and basket spend for Payzone retailers at a pivotal time in the UK’s roadmap out of lockdown.”
